We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cook to prepare hygienic, nutritious, and tasty meals for hospital patients, attendants, and staff. The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.
- Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks as per the daily menu.
- Cook patient diets (Normal, Soft, Liquid, and Special Diets) as instructed.
- Prepare food for hospital staff and visitors in the canteen.
- Ensure food is prepared fresh, hygienically, and served on time.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
- Store raw materials properly and monitor stock.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
- Coordinate with the canteen supervisor regarding daily requirements.
- Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues.
- Assist in receiving and checking food supplies.
- Required SkillsExperience in preparing Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals (if applicable).
- Knowledge of hospital diet preparation is preferred.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and sanitation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet meal timings.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
- QualificationsMinimum: 10th Pass.
- 2–5 years of experience in a hospital, hotel, hostel, or industrial canteen is preferred.
- Working Hours 12–18 hour shifts (including weekends and holidays ).
- Salary₹15,000 – ₹18,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience).
- Meals during duty.
- Preferred CandidateExperience in hospital or institutional kitchens.
- Knowledge of patient diet preparation.
- Honest, punctual, disciplined, and committed to maintaining high hygiene standards.
