Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Factory In-Charge to oversee daily operations of our furniture manufacturing unit. The candidate will be responsible for managing factory workers, supervising production activities, monitoring inventory and stock movement, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining workplace safety and discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations
- Supervise day-to-day furniture manufacturing activities.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned timelines.
- Coordinate with production teams to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Monitor machine utilization and report maintenance requirements.
Labour Management
- Supervise factory workers and assign daily tasks.
- Maintain workforce discipline and attendance records.
- Monitor worker productivity and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Provide guidance and training to workers whenever required.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor raw material stock levels and finished goods inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of stock inward and outward movements.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification.
- Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to prevent stock shortages.
Quality Control
- Ensure furniture products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify production defects and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with quality inspection teams to maintain product excellence.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and factory procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Report accidents, damages, or operational issues promptly.
- RequirementsBachelor's Degree / Diploma in Production, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or factory operations.
- Strong leadership and labour management skills.
- Knowledge of inventory and stock control processes.
- Ability to handle production planning and operational challenges.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic reporting.
