Picker / Packer

A Pick Packer (or Picker Packer) is responsible for navigating a warehouse to locate, pull, and securely package items to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. They form the backbone of supply chains in e-commerce, retail, logistics, and manufacturing

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Order Picking: Reviewing pick slips, digital invoices, or using handheld RF scanners to locate items on warehouse shelves.
• Quality Assurance: Inspecting retrieved products for any visible damage, defects, or expiration dates before packing.
• Secure Packaging: Selecting the correct box size and utilizing protective materials like bubble wrap, air pillows, or foam to prevent shipping damage.
• Labeling & Sealing: Sealing packages properly (often using H-pattern taping for heavy boxes) and applying precise shipping labels.
• Inventory Control: Using warehouse management software to log completed orders, track stock levels, and report shortages.
• Shipping Support: Loading packed pallets or boxes onto delivery trucks and moving goods to specified dispatch areas using pallet jacks.
• Workplace Safety: Maintaining a tidy workspace to clear tripping hazards and strictly adhering to OSHA or regional safety protocols
