1. Kannada Teacher

Job Summary

The Kannada Teacher will be responsible for teaching Kannada to primary and high-school students, developing their reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and communication skills. The teacher must create an engaging learning environment and ensure that students meet the prescribed academic standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

Teach Kannada according to the prescribed school curriculum and academic schedule.

Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assignments and teaching materials.

Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.

Teach Kannada grammar, vocabulary, prose, poetry and composition.

Use stories, poems, role plays, activities and audio-visual resources to make lessons engaging.

Adapt teaching methods according to the learning levels of primary and high-school students.

Complete the syllabus within the stipulated timeline.

Conduct class tests, unit tests, internal assessments and examinations.

Prepare question papers, answer keys and evaluation records.

Evaluate notebooks, assignments and answer scripts accurately and on time.

Identify slow learners and provide remedial support.

Encourage advanced learners through additional reading and creative-writing activities.

Maintain students’ attendance, marks, academic records and progress reports.

Prepare students for board examinations, language competitions, debates, essay writing and cultural programmes.

Maintain classroom discipline and promote respectful use of the Kannada language.

Communicate students’ academic progress and concerns to parents and the school management.

Participate in staff meetings, training programmes, school events and examination duties.

Perform additional academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the Principal or Head of Department.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Kannada.

B.Ed. or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Previous teaching experience in primary or high school is preferred.

Knowledge of the applicable state, CBSE or ICSE curriculum.

Strong written and spoken Kannada.

Basic knowledge of English and educational technology.

2. Mathematics Teacher

Job Summary

The Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for teaching mathematical concepts to primary and high-school students using clear explanations, practical examples, activities and problem-solving methods. The teacher must develop students’ numerical ability, logical thinking and confidence in Mathematics.

Roles and Responsibilities

Teach Mathematics according to the prescribed curriculum and academic plan.

Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, activities and teaching aids.

Explain mathematical concepts using simple methods, real-life examples and step-by-step solutions.

Teach arithmetic, algebra, geometry, mensuration, statistics and other topics appropriate to the assigned classes.

Use manipulatives, models, digital tools and activity-based methods for primary students.

Provide concept-based and examination-oriented teaching for high-school students.

Complete the syllabus within the academic timeline.

Conduct regular practice sessions, class tests, quizzes and assessments.

Prepare question papers, answer keys and marking schemes.

Evaluate notebooks, assignments, projects and examination papers accurately.

Analyse students’ performance and take corrective measures.

Provide remedial classes for students requiring additional support.

Prepare high-school students for board examinations through revision, practice papers and doubt-clearing sessions.

Encourage logical reasoning, mental mathematics and problem-solving skills.

Maintain records of attendance, marks, lesson completion and student progress.

Ensure proper classroom management, discipline and student participation.

Communicate academic progress and learning concerns to parents and management.

Participate in Mathematics clubs, exhibitions, Olympiads and other school activities.

Attend staff meetings, training programmes, examination duties and institutional events.

Perform additional duties assigned by the Principal or Head of Department.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.

B.Ed. or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Previous experience teaching primary or high-school Mathematics is preferred.
