Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR & Admin Manager to lead the organization's human resources and administrative functions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, HR operations, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and administration. Preference will be given to candidates from Research & Development, Chemical Manufacturing, or EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) industries.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes for technical, managerial, and support functions.
- Develop sourcing strategies to attract high-quality talent.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand manpower requirements and workforce planning.
- Manage recruitment vendors, consultants, and job portals.
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee employee onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and separations.
- Ensure smooth employee documentation and record management.
- Manage exit processes, including exit interviews and full & final settlements.
- Maintain accurate employee databases and HRMIS records.
Performance Management
- Facilitate performance appraisal processes and goal-setting frameworks.
- Support managers in performance improvement initiatives.
- Track employee development and succession planning activities.
Employee Engagement & Relations
- Foster a positive workplace culture and employee experience.
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Organize employee engagement activities, wellness programs, and recognition initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management.
Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate development programs.
- Support leadership development and capability-building initiatives.
- Maintain training records and evaluate program effectiveness.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Manage payroll coordination, attendance, leave administration, and employee benefits.
- Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and best practices.
- Support audits related to HR, ISO, safety, and compliance requirements.
Administration
General Administration
- Manage office administration, facilities, housekeeping, security, transportation, and vendor management.
- Oversee office infrastructure, maintenance contracts, and asset management.
- Ensure efficient management of office supplies and procurement activities.
Facility & Safety Management
- Coordinate with EHS teams to ensure workplace safety compliance.
- Support implementation of safety policies and emergency response procedures.
- Ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage service providers, annual maintenance contracts, and administrative budgets.
- Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of talent acquisition and employee lifecycle management.
- Expertise in HR operations, employee relations, and performance management.
- Knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliance, and HR best practices.
- Experience in administration, facilities management, and vendor coordination.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Proficiency in HRMS, MS Office, and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, Personnel Management, or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in HR, Labor Laws, or Administration will be an advantage.
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in HR & Administration.
- Mandatory experience in at least one of the following sectors:
- Research & Development Industry
- Chemical Manufacturing Industry
- EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) Industry
- Proven experience in handling end-to-end HR functions and administration.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience working in technical and engineering-driven environments.
- Ability to build HR processes and drive organizational effectiveness.
- Exposure to manufacturing plants, project sites, R&D centers, or corporate offices is preferred.
