Job SummaryThe Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing pharmacy inventory, and providing professional pharmaceutical care and counseling to customers. The role requires maintaining high standards of patient safety, customer service, and operational excellence.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDispense prescription medicines accurately as per doctor's prescription.
• Verify prescriptions for correctness, dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications.
• Counsel patients on proper medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
• Recommend appropriate OTC (Over-the-Counter) medicines when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Act, Drugs & Cosmetics Act, and other applicable regulations.
• Maintain proper records of narcotic and scheduled drugs.
• Monitor medicine expiry dates and ensure timely removal of expired or damaged stock.
• Maintain adequate stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team for replenishment.
• Receive, verify, and arrange medicines according to storage guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pharmacy.
• Handle billing and maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist customers with healthcare-related queries professionally.
• Support promotional activities and improve customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with doctors and healthcare professionals whenever clarification on prescriptions is required.
• Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with company SOPs and quality standards.
• Required QualificationsDiploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
• Valid Registered Pharmacist License issued by the State Pharmacy Council.
• 0–3 years of experience in Retail/Hospital Pharmacy (Freshers may also apply).
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of medicines and pharmaceutical products.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of pharmacy software and billing systems.
• Inventory management skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts.
