Job Title: Waiter / Food & Beverage (F&B) StewardJob OverviewWe are looking for a customer-oriented and energetic Waiter/Steward to join our food and beverage team. The ideal candidate will be the face of our restaurant, responsible for greeting guests, taking accurate orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. To succeed in this role, you should have a polite demeanor, excellent multitasking skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service: Welcome and escort guests to their tables, present menus, and introduce daily specials.
• Order Management: Take accurate food and beverage orders using memory, order pads, or a Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Menu Knowledge: Answer guest queries regarding ingredients, preparation methods, potential food allergies, and wine/beverage pairings.
• Food Delivery: Serve food and drinks promptly and at the correct temperature, ensuring high presentation standards.
• Table Maintenance: Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware. Pre-bus and clear dirty dishes, glasses, and utensils throughout the meal.
• Billing & Transactions: Present accurate bills, process cash or card payments, and return correct change.
• Side Duties: Assist with opening and closing procedures, restocking service stations (napkins, cutlery, condiments), and maintaining overall dining room cleanliness.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and minimize wait times.
• Requirements & SkillsExperience: Proven work experience as a Waiter, Server, or Steward (0–2 years; entry-level candidates with formal hospitality training are welcome).
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree/diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality is a strong plus.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, active listening, and conflict-resolution skills. A warm, welcoming personality is essential.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Lightspeed, Micros) and basic math skills for handling bills.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry heavy service trays.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
• Compliance: Basic knowledge of food hygiene, safety regulations, and alcohol serving laws.
