Job Description: Buyer (Entry-Level)

Department: Supply Chain

Reports To: Supply Chain Analyst

Job Summary

The Buyer is responsible for supporting procurement activities by sourcing, purchasing, and tracking materials required for business operations. This is an entry-level role ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals, offering hands-on experience in supplier coordination, purchasing processes, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance
• Create and manage purchase orders in line with demand plans and inventory needs
• Coordinate with suppliers to track order status and ensure on-time delivery
• Support negotiation of pricing and terms under guidance from senior team members
• Work closely with planning, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth material flow
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining optimal stock levels
• Help resolve supplier-related issues such as delays, shortages, and quality concerns
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier data, and documentation
• Follow procurement policies and ensure compliance with company standards
• Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field
• 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related roles
• Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain processes
• Proficiency in MS Excel; exposure to ERP systems (such as SAP) is an advantage
