WHAREHOUSE INCHARGE

A Godown In charge, also known as a Warehouse In charge or Supervisor, is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, receiving, and dispatch of goods. They manage inventory, coordinate staff, and ensure safety protocols are followed. 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Inventory Management:

Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies. 

·        Warehouse Operations:

Overseeing receiving, storing, and shipping of goods, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment. 

·        Staff Management:

Supervising and training warehouse staff, delegating tasks, and monitoring performance. 

·        Safety and Compliance:

Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. 

·        Process Improvement:

Identifying and implementing strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and safety. 

·        Communication and Coordination:

Collaborating with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to manage incoming and outgoing shipments. 

·        Reporting:

Preparing reports on warehouse activities, performance metrics, and any issues that may arise. 

Skills and Qualifications:

·        Strong organizational and time management skills.

·        Leadership and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to manage inventory and warehouse operations.

·        Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS).

·        Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

·        Experience in supervising and training staff.

·        Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
