Job SummaryThe Kitchen Designer will be responsible for creating functional, aesthetically appealing, and technically accurate modular kitchen designs for both B2C clients and B2B partners (architects, builders, and designers), ensuring designs align with Nex World's mid-premium brand positioning.

Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesDesign & Planning

• Conduct client/site visits to take accurate measurements and understand space constraints, utility points (plumbing, gas, electrical), and client requirements
• Create 2D layouts and 3D renders using design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, WinnerDesign, PlanIt, or similar modular kitchen design tools)
• Design kitchen layouts optimizing workflow (work triangle), storage, and ergonomics
• Select appropriate materials, finishes, hardware, and appliances in line with client budget and brand catalogue
• Prepare detailed working drawings, cutting lists, and BOMs (Bill of Materials) for the production/fabrication team

Client Interaction

• Present design concepts and 3D visualizations to clients, explaining material options, finishes, and cost implications
• Handle client revisions and finalize designs within agreed timelines
• Coordinate with sales team during the client conversion process, providing design support for quotations

Project Coordination

• Liaise with the production team to ensure design specifications are manufacturable and cost-accurate
• Coordinate with site supervisors/installation teams to resolve on-site design or measurement discrepancies
• Work with architects/builders on B2B projects, adapting designs to fit within larger interior schemes

Quality & Documentation

• Maintain design documentation, revision history, and approval records for each project
• Ensure all designs comply with standard modular kitchen dimensions, safety norms, and manufacturing capabilities
• Stay updated on modular kitchen trends, materials, and hardware innovations
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in modular kitchen/interior design (agency, manufacturer, or independent)
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or modular-specific tools like WinnerDesign/PlanIt)
• Strong understanding of modular kitchen hardware, laminates, materials (plywood, MDF, HDHMR), and finishes
• Good client-facing communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Basic understanding of costing/BOM preparation
• PreferredPrior experience in a mid-premium or premium modular kitchen brand
• Experience handling both B2C and B2B/architect-channel projects
• Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree/diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience in modular kitchen/interior design (agency, manufacturer, or independent)
• Proven sales experience — must have handled client conversions, upselling, or revenue targets alongside design work (not purely a back-end design role)
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or modular-specific tools like WinnerDesign/PlanIt)
• Strong understanding of modular kitchen hardware, laminates, materials (plywood, MDF, HDHMR), and finishes
• Good client-facing communication and presentation skills, with the ability to close deals
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Basic understanding of costing/BOM preparation
