Traffic Manager – ODC & Project Logistics

Mandatory Requirements :

• Minimum 5 years experience in a transport or logistics company.
• Experience in ODC, Project Cargo or Heavy Equipment Transportation.
• Strong broker and transporter network across India.
• Experience in arranging trailers and hydraulic axles.
• Good knowledge of freight negotiation and market vehicle placement.
• Experience in handling customers like L&T, Schneider Electric, Power, EPC or Defence projects will be preferred.
• Candidates from Warehouse, Store, Inventory or Manufacturing Operations background will not be considered.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Receive transport requirements from customers through email and phone.
• Arrange market vehicles from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmednagar and other locations across India.
• Arrange trailers, hydraulic axles and other vehicles for ODC and heavy cargo movement.
• Coordinate with transporters, brokers and vehicle owners for timely vehicle placement.
• Negotiate freight rates and finalize the best vehicle at competitive cost.
• Handle transportation of heavy equipment, project cargo and defence-related consignments.
• Follow up with drivers and transporters to ensure on-time loading and delivery.
• Give regular shipment updates to customers.
• Solve vehicle shortage and transportation issues during market emergencies.
• Plan suitable vehicle as per cargo size, weight and route.
• Coordinate for permits and other documents required for ODC movement.
• Maintain good relationship with transporters and brokers across India.
• Support freight quotation and tender/bidding activities whenever required.
• Ensure timely collection of LR, POD and other transport documents.
