Project Manager

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of an RDSS (Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme) project in Tura, Meghalaya. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in power distribution EPC projects and be capable of independently managing project execution from planning through commissioning while ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.

The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating with the client (MePDCL), consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to achieve project milestones.

• Key ResponsibilitiesLead complete execution of the RDSS project from mobilization to commissioning.
• Manage construction of:
• 11 kV HT Lines
• LT Distribution Lines
• Distribution Transformers (DTRs)
• Service Connections
• Feeder Segregation and Network Strengthening works
• Prepare and monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate with MePDCL officials, consultants, and local authorities.
• Supervise site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and labor teams.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Plan manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
• Monitor project costs and control budgets.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Verify subcontractor bills and client measurements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and statutory requirements.
• Resolve technical and site-related issues efficiently.
• Coordinate procurement and logistics for timely material availability.
• Support project billing, documentation, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Required SkillsTechnical SkillsStrong knowledge of 11 kV & LT Distribution Systems.
• Experience in RDSS, DDUGJY, IPDS, Saubhagya, or Rural Electrification Projects.
• Understanding of distribution transformers, poles, conductors, AB cable, UG cable, RMUs, and switchgear.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, BOQs, GTPs, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures.
• Experience with project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
