Department: Solar / Renewable Energy
Reports To: Solar Engineer / Project Manager
- Key ResponsibilitiesInstall solar panels, inverters, batteries, cables, and related electrical equipment.
- Assist with solar system wiring, connections, testing, and commissioning.
- Perform routine inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar systems.
- Identify and resolve basic technical faults in solar equipment and electrical connections.
- Follow all site safety procedures and use required PPE.
- Maintain daily work reports, material usage records, and site progress updates.
- Work as per instructions from the Solar Engineer or Team Leader.
- Provide customers with basic guidance on solar system operation and maintenance.
- Qualifications and SkillsITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related trade.
- 1–3 years of experience in solar installation or electrical work preferred.
- Knowledge of wiring, inverters, batteries, electrical tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to work at heights and travel to project sites when required.
- Good teamwork, discipline, and problem-solving skills.

- Conduct site surveys, load analysis, shadow analysis, and system capacity calculations.
- Select suitable solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, cables, and safety equipment.
- Supervise installation teams and provide technical guidance at project sites.
- Ensure project quality, safety standards, timelines, and technical compliance.
- Conduct testing, commissioning, and performance checks of solar systems.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Prepare BOQs, technical documents, site reports, drawings, and project records.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to solar systems.
- Qualifications and SkillsB.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy.
- 2–5 years of experience in solar EPC, rooftop solar, or renewable energy projects preferred.
- Knowledge of solar system design, electrical drawings, SLDs, and net-metering requirements.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and PVsyst is preferred.
- Strong leadership, reporting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
