Position Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the financial strategy, planning, and management of the TV media channel. The role oversees budgeting, financial reporting, revenue optimization, compliance, risk management, and strategic financial planning to support business growth, content production, advertising operations, and digital media expansion.
The CFO will work closely with executive leadership to drive profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability of the media organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the complete financial management and accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards.
- Maintain, supervise, and review all accounting records, books of accounts, financial statements, ledgers, journals, and reconciliations of the company.
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, management reports, and financial performance summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, budgeting systems, forecasting models, and long-term financial planning aligned with the organization’s operational and strategic objectives.
- Ensure timely compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements including GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, ROC filings, and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Supervise the preparation and filing of tax returns, audit reports, financial disclosures, and other statutory documents with relevant government authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with internal auditors, statutory auditors, tax consultants, bankers, and regulatory authorities, and ensure timely submission of required information and documentation.
- Monitor and manage organizational budgets, fund utilization, working capital, cash flow, liquidity planning, and overall financial health of the company.
- Oversee banking operations, vendor payments, payroll processing, fund transfers, investment planning, and treasury management functions.
- Analyze financial risks, operational costs, and profitability trends, and recommend effective cost-control measures and financial improvement strategies to management.
- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, accounting systems, SOPs, and risk management frameworks to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and decision-support to the management team regarding expansion plans, investments, capital allocation, and business growth initiatives.
- Monitor revenue streams, advertising income, production expenditures, broadcasting costs, and channel-specific operational expenses to maximize financial efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure proper financial planning and allocation for media production, broadcasting operations, digital content development, marketing campaigns, and infrastructure requirements.
- Lead financial negotiations and maintain professional relationships with banks, vendors, sponsors, advertisers, production partners, and service providers.
- Supervise and mentor the accounts and finance team, ensuring professional development, accountability, and adherence to organizational policies and financial best practices.
- Implement and oversee ERP/accounting software systems and ensure accurate financial reporting through effective use of technology and automation.
- Prepare financial projections, feasibility studies, and investment analysis reports for new projects, business ventures, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain strict confidentiality, integrity, and security of all financial records, business information, and sensitive organizational data.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards, ethical financial practices, and organizational policies at all times.
- Perform any other financial, administrative, or strategic responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time in the interest of the organization.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance, accounting, payroll, and procurement teams.
- Build a high-performance finance culture with strong accountability.
- Drive automation and modernization of financial systems and reporting tools.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years of senior finance leadership experience.
- Experience in media, television broadcasting, entertainment, digital media, or advertising industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, taxation, compliance, and corporate finance.
- Experience managing large budgets and multi-department financial operations.
