Chinese Chef

A Chinese & Continental Chef is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Chinese and Continental dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen operations. The chef ensures consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control, and contributes to menu development and kitchen efficiency.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and cook a wide variety of Chinese and Continental dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure food is prepared and served with excellent taste, quality, and presentation.
• Manage mise en place and ensure all ingredients are available before service.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen as per food safety regulations.
• Control food costs, minimize wastage, and manage inventory effectively.
• Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal menu updates.
• Supervise and train junior kitchen staff when required.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Coordinate with purchasing and stores departments for ingredient requirements.
• Handle kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain consistency in portion sizes and food presentation.
