Job Description
A housekeeping boy maintains cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness environments. Key duties include cleaning rooms and common areas, sanitizing restrooms, vacuuming, mopping, taking out trash, and restocking supplies. The role often requires physical stamina to lift, push, and work on feet for long hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces in offices, rooms, and restrooms.
- Maintenance & Upkeep: Ensuring common areas, hallways, and lobbies are clean and well-maintained.
- Restocking and Inventory: Replenishing amenities such as toiletries, towels, and office supplies.
- Waste Management: Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste in designated areas.
- Laundry Services: Washing, drying, folding, and delivering linens and towels.
- Reporting: Identifying and reporting maintenance issues or damages to management.
- Special Projects: Supporting with deep cleaning, moving furniture, or event setup.
Requirements and Skills
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, pull, push, and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Reliability: Following schedules and completing tasks on time.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions and interact with staff or guests.
- Experience: Prior experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or janitorial work is often preferred.
