About the Project
M/s SSB Digital Private Limited as the System Integrator (SI) for the implementation of IoT-Based Handloom Traceability & Digitization using Blockchain Technology, covering 10,000 weavers across India.
The project aims to digitally register weavers, install IoT devices on handlooms, implement blockchain-based QR traceability, and build digital outreach capabilities for artisan communities across North, South, East, and West India. The Design Expert will play a key role in supporting documentation, innovation, outreach content, and visual communication for this national-scale initiative.
Purpose of the Role
The Design Expert will provide specialized design, documentation, and creative support for the project, working in close collaboration with field teams, project coordinators, and DEPARTMENT stakeholders. The role involves supporting handloom cluster outreach, creating visual assets, supporting them with design patterns, handloom product understanding, developing training materials, and strengthening the digital storytelling ecosystem for artisan communities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Digital Outreach & Storytelling
▸
Develop
product catalogues and digital showcases for handloom products (target: 100
catalogues).
▸
Create
storytelling videos and artisan branding content (target: 50 video stories).
▸
Design
and execute 100+ online campaigns (SEO, social media, content marketing) to
achieve 1 crore digital impressions.
▸
Support
development of the Creator & Digital Outreach Network Platform for
handloom promotion.
▸
Create
visually compelling content aligned with IHB, GI tag, and ODOP branding
guidelines.
2. Market Integration & Brand Design
▸
Support
50 regional workshops on product positioning and brand integration (100
participants each).
▸
Develop
branding assets and design materials for weaver cooperatives, FPOs, and SHGs.
▸
Facilitate
design support for e-commerce listing of 1,000+ traceable handloom products.
▸
Create
design assets for export-oriented product positioning.
3. Documentation & Innovation
▸
Design
and develop training manuals, SOPs, and user documentation in regional
languages.
▸
Create
visual guides and infographics for digital literacy and IoT/QR traceability
awareness programs.
▸
Prepare
presentation materials, MIS dashboards, and project reports for DEPARTMENT
reviews.
▸
Maintain
design archives and version-controlled documentation records.
▸
Support
preparation of the Detailed Project Implementation Plan (DPIP) with design
inputs.
4. Cluster Sensitization Support
▸
Design
awareness and sensitization materials for 100 workshops across handloom
clusters and cooperatives.
▸
Develop
communication kits for field teams working with 10,000 weavers.
▸
Create
multilingual visual aids for beneficiary onboarding, QR tagging, and device
usage training.
5. Quality & Compliance
▸
Ensure
all design outputs comply with Government of India visual guidelines and DEPARTMENT
branding standards.
▸
Maintain
geo-tagged photographic and video documentation of field activities.
▸
Support
digital documentation standards including attendance records, consent forms,
and field evidence.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Qualifications
▸
Bachelor's
or Master's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Visual Communication,
Graphic Design, or related field from a recognized institution of repute.
▸
Minimum
1–5 years of professional experience in design, digital content creation, or
visual communication.
▸
Demonstrated
experience working with government projects, NGOs, artisan communities, or
textile/handloom sector is preferred.
Technical Skills
▸
Proficiency
in design tools: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Premiere Pro
(or equivalent).
▸
Experience
in digital marketing, social media content creation, and SEO-oriented design.
▸
Ability
to create multilingual content and regional-language design assets.
▸
Knowledge
of e-commerce product cataloguing and photography styling is an advantage.
▸
Familiarity
with Handloom product, GI tagging, IHB, ODOP branding frameworks is
desirable.
▸
Basic
proficiency in video production and storytelling content creation.
Soft Skills
▸
Strong
creative and aesthetic sensibility with attention to detail.

Excellent
communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Ability
to work in a fast-paced, field-driven environment across multiple states.

Willingness

with DEPARTMENT Regional Offices in Panipat, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata,
Coimbatore, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
