Desktop Support Engineer

• Key Roles & Responsibilities:1️⃣ Hardware InstallationInstallation of biometric attendance devices (Fingerprint, Face, Palm).
• Access control system installation (Single door / Multi-door controller).
• Wiring, cabling, and power supply setup.
• Installation of electric locks, magnetic locks, exit switches, and door sensors.
• Device mounting and proper positioning.
• Testing and commissioning of installed hardware.
• 2️⃣ Software Installation & ConfigurationInstallation of attendance management software.
• Server setup and client configuration.
• SQL database installation and backup configuration.
• LAN/WAN network configuration for device connectivity.
• Integration with payroll or third-party software (if required).
• Cloud setup and configuration (if applicable).
• 3️⃣ Troubleshooting & SupportDiagnose hardware and network issues.
• Device repair and replacement when required.
• Remote support to customers.
• Ensure timely resolution of service calls.
• Maintain service report and installation checklist.
• 4️⃣ Customer HandlingProvide basic training to clients on device usage.
• Explain software features and report generation.
• Ensure customer satisfaction after installation.
• Collect customer sign-off after work completion.
• 5️⃣ Documentation & ReportingDaily service report submission.
• Installation photographs and documentation.
• Serial number tracking and stock accountability.
• Maintain proper tool kit and spare inventory.
