KEY RESPONSIBILTIES                  

1.      Prepare estimates by gathering architectural plans, specifications and related documents for new plans and allot specific starts from the current start schedule.

2.      Present prepared estimate(s) utilizing Blue Beam, PlanSwift, Measure square, AutoCad, Master Project or other software by assembling plan specific trade type Take Offs and master plan Take Offs.

3.      Prepare special reports utilizing the PlanSwift, Blue Beam, Measure Square Software Report Designer and/or Excel templates by Trade Type.

4.      Maintain the database for base, elevation and option Take Offs/estimates in Master Project or on SharePoint.

5.      Update Plan Take Offs when ARM’s / PMR’s are released and provide quantity adjustments to divisions.

6.      Work with trade partners, vendors, architectural services and production department to reconcile discrepancies in Take Offs.

7.      Create and Update Templates within PlanSwift, Blue Beam, Measure Square for Corporate and Division use. Collaborate with Architecture in controlling costs on prototype design.

8.      Train Division Estimators and Corporate Junior Estimators. Assist Divisions in Estimating on Trade Types as needed.

9.      Document process of estimating trade types and update Estimating Manual as needed.

10.  Assist field operations in material overages / shortages.

11.  Prepare Estimating tracking and reporting tools and schedule regular meetings to facilitate managing the estimating workload.

12.  Prepare Take Off estimates for all trade types for the division purchasing teams to utilize in their negotiation with trade partners.

13.  Attend Manufacturer and Subcontractor meetings and prepare/distribute meeting notes internally and externally.

14.  Schedule and attend any additional estimating classes for PlanSwift, Blue Beam, Measure Square and/or additional estimating software (i.e. Pipeline) with Operations Manager - Estimating.

15.  Schedule and attend training sessions for internal Estimating Department.

16.  Complete all other duties as assigned by manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS                          

1.      Strong English communication skills (read, write, listen and speak).

2.      Competency in Microsoft Office suite.

3.      Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.

4.      In-depth knowledge of PlanSwift, BlueBeam REVU, Measure Square, RFMS Measure etc. is essential.

5.      Ability to read blueprints / drawings received from customers.

6.      Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

7.      Ability to interpret specification sheets from architects and designers.

8.      Natural details orientation.

9.      Solid understanding of importance of accuracy and precision in work.

10.  Ability to meet deadline consistently.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES             

1.      High School Diploma required / Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

2.      Experience in reading blueprint is highly recommend.

3.      Must have minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in Construction / Stone industry.
