QA / QC Manager

ROLE DESCRIPTION & OBJECTIVES

·        A Quality Control executive is responsible for ensuring that the units produced or manufactured comply with an established quality standard.

·        The role includes the responsibility to ensure a product or service provides a high level of quality that meets customer expectation.

Quality control executive monitors and audits the quality of all manufactured goods which does not only include to find defects but also to find the cause of the defect and develop a sustainable solution.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

[1.] Internal Q.C.

·        Check quality of raw material as per drawing / specification /order and to coordinate with supplier if any discrepancy is found. Maintain record of the same and get it signed form higher authority.

·        To inspect all casting for visual/ dimension / grinding / finishing.

·        To check Job Cards as per dimension.

·        To check important parts before assembly.

·        To check valve after assembly on following parameters.

o   Leakage

o   Functional test

o   Dimensions

o   Thickness of Painting

[2.] External Q.C.

·        Third Party Inspection for Quality Checking

o   To check the list of TPI Agencies provided by customer in PO. If there is an agency with which we already have tie-up than contact the agency and schedule the inspection. If there is no agency in the list with which we have tie-up than contact appropriate agency, fix the charges for inspection after discussion with management.

·        Datasheet, Drawing, QAP-Quality Assurance Plan, PO-Purchase Order, TC-Test Certificate

o   Stage Inspection – Machining quality/Dimension/marking/drilling/ tapping. Hydraulic test for body & seat /performance test & maintain all register

·        Send Testing Calibration Report to customer.

·        File the Testing Calibration Report and Final Inspection Report.

·        Maintain calibration record for all measuring Instrument/Pressure gauge/ Flow meter etc. and check  its calibration before Inspection.

·        Maintain all ISO Related documents before inspection.

[1.] Work Reporting, Review & Analysis

·        Prepare Daily Working Report & send to seniors before leaving the office.

·        Participate in weekly review meeting with seniors for work done during the week.

·        Prepare Analysis reports for Quarterly & Presentation to the Management with suggestions and initiatives to get better results.

COMPETENCIES

[1.] Technical Competencies

·        Knowledge of Instruments like Vernier Callier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Etc.

·        Knowledge of Drawings, Quality documents, Reports & Register 

·        Knowledge of TPI & QAP

[2.] Behavioral Competencies

·        Should have proper planning & coordination skills

·        Should be able to accurate and precise in quality check

·        Should be able to prepare & organize documents and reports efficiently

·        Should be able to handle team and guiding them properly

·        Should be able to work according to deadlines

Should be able to understand customer queries and resolve them effectively

Qualifications

Diploma Mechanical / B.E Mechanical

Experience

4-6 years
