Job Description
VMC Programmer is responsible for preparing VMC machining programs, selecting tools, setting machining parameters, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring accurate production of components on VMC machines. They work closely with machine operators and quality teams to achieve precision, productivity, and minimum material wastage.
- Key Responsibilities
- Create and edit VMC programs using CAM. software
- Read technical drawings and process sheets
- Select cutting tools and machining parameters
- Perform program trials and optimize cycle time
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and quality compliance
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
- Maintain safety and production standards
- Skills Required
- Knowledge of M-code
- Experience with VMC machines
- Understanding of tooling and machining processes
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Familiarity with CAM. software
