Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented 3D Designer with expertise in SolidWorks to create accurate 3D models, engineering drawings, and product designs. The candidate will collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams to develop innovative and manufacturable designs while ensuring compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.

• Key Responsibilities
• Design & Modeling
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Develop product designs based on customer requirements, technical specifications, and project objectives.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and assembly instructions.
• Modify and improve existing designs to enhance functionality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
• Perform design validation and ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Product Development
• Assist in new product development and prototype creation.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve design-related issues.
• Conduct design reviews and implement feedback from stakeholders.
• Support testing and validation activities for new designs.
• Documentation & Standards
• Maintain design documentation and revision control.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design specifications.
• Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, production, and quality departments.
• Liaise with clients or vendors regarding technical requirements when necessary.
• Support project teams in meeting deadlines and project milestones.

Required Qualifications

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.

2–5 years of experience in 3D design and modeling using SolidWorks.

Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.

Experience in sheet metal, fabrication, machined components, and assemblies is preferred.

Technical Skills

1. Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modeling, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Drawing Modules).
2. Knowledge of AutoCAD and other CAD software is an added advantage
3. Understanding of BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
4. Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, casting, and assembly.
