Job Description: Accounts and Audit Assistant (CA Firm)Job SummaryThe Accounts and Audit Assistant supports chartered accountants in delivering high-quality statutory audits, internal audits, tax filings, and bookkeeping services for diverse clients. This role involves direct exposure to client financial records, regulatory compliance, and audit fieldwork. [1, 2, 3, 4] 

• Key ResponsibilitiesAudit & AssuranceAssist in conducting statutory, internal, and tax audits.
• Prepare audit working papers, schedules, and checklists.
• Verify client bank reconciliations, vouchers, and ledger entries.
• Perform physical verification of client stock and cash balances.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and report them to the Auditor. [5, 6, 7, 8, 9] 
• Taxation & ComplianceCompile client data for GST, Income Tax, and TDS filings.
• Assist in preparing and filing periodic regulatory returns.
• Reconcile client financial data with government portals (e.g., GSTR-2B).
• Draft basic responses to routine tax notices under supervision. [10, 11, 12, 13, 14] 
• Client Accounting & ReportingMaintain accurate books of accounts for multiple client businesses.
• Ensure proper classification of expenses and capital items.
• Assist in finalising financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L). [15, 16] 
• Job RequirementsEducation and QualificationsGraduate degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com / BBA Finance).
• Semi-qualified CA (IPCC/Intermediate cleared) or CA Article assistants.
• Conceptual clarity in accounting standards and tax laws. [17, 18, 19, 20, 21] 
• Technical & Soft SkillsHands-on experience with Tally Prime, Busy, or Zoho Books.
• Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, logical formulas).
• Ability to travel to local client locations for on-site audit work.
• Strong ethical grounding with absolute respect for client confidentiality. [22, 23, 24, 25, 26]
