Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management: Recruiting, mentoring, and managing a team of sales agents or Point of Sales Persons (POSP) to meet or exceed monthly/annual targets.
- Sales Strategy Development: Analyzing market trends, customer demographics, and competitor data to plan campaigns and increase sales penetration.
- Training & Coaching: Conducting regular training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance to regulatory standards (e.g., IRDAI).
- Performance Monitoring: Tracking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as activation, persistency, and premium targets, providing feedback to team members.
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with bank partners (in Bancassurance), clients, and stakeholders to ensure business retention.
- Operations & Compliance: Ensuring smooth policy issuance, assisting with claim registrations, and maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]
Key Requirements & Skills
- Experience: 1-5 years of experience in insurance sales, agency management, or team leadership, often in B2C or B2B sales.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree (often preferred) in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and motivational skills to drive performance.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, market potential, and risk factors. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
