Assistant Manager - Traffic & Estimation

Responsibilities

Traffic Analysis and Forecasting:

  • Analyze complex traffic data to identify trends and patterns that influence transportation planning and policy-making.
  • Develop accurate traffic demand forecasts, considering potential diversion routes and the impact of external factors on traffic flow.
  • Estimate toll revenues by analyzing traffic volumes and types, projecting future increases, and evaluating the effectiveness of tolling strategies.
  • Conduct Traffic Volume Count Analysis to understand current usage patterns and predict future traffic flows.
  • Analyze Origin/Destination and Commodity-related data to gain insights into traffic behavior and logistics trends.
  • Forecast toll rates based on predetermined schedules and adjust for market conditions and policy changes.
  • Estimate Growth Rates for traffic and revenue, considering economic indicators and regional development plans.
  • Perform Traffic Diversion Analysis to evaluate the impact of changes in the transportation network on traffic distribution.

 

Vendor Coordination:

  • Coordinate the collection and dissemination of necessary inputs and data to consultants and vendors for the development of traffic models.
  • Assist in the resolution of any issues or discrepancies in the information provided to ensure the accuracy of traffic models.
  • Assess the potential impact of new developments, such as residential or commercial projects, on the existing transportation network and propose solutions to mitigate negative effects.

 

Quality Assurance and Software Proficiency:

  • Scrutinize construction plans, design calculations, and cost estimations to verify their accuracy and ensure they meet engineering standards and project requirements.
  • Perform quality audits on transportation projects to maintain high standards of construction and design integrity.
  • Utilize specialized software tools, such as VISUM for traffic modeling and GIS for spatial analysis, to create detailed and predictive models of transportation networks.
  • Translate complex data into accessible models that can be used to inform decision-making and project planning.

Education Qualification:

Graduation in Civil Engineering and Post Graduation in Transportation Engineering
