Cricket Operations Specialist
Responsibilities
Sports Operations Support - O5
Logistical Support and Planning:
- Assist with the planning and execution of logistics for sports events, including travel, accommodation, and on-site requirements.
- Support the operations team with inventory management, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are accounted for and transported efficiently.
- Help coordinate local logistics, such as food vendors and ice bath arrangements, to meet the needs of athletes and teams.
- Develop a logistics playbook that outlines best practices for event transportation, accommodation, and on-site coordination to ensure consistency across all events.
- Establish partnerships with local businesses to provide high-quality food options and recovery services, such as ice baths, for athletes at competitive rates.
Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination:
- Facilitate communication and coordination with internal stakeholders, such as the legal, finance, and technical teams, to support operational activities.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to the operations team, aiding in the management of contracts and vendor relations.
- Set up regular check-in meetings with internal stakeholders to update on logistical planning progress and gather input for operational decisions.
- Develop a centralized document management system to streamline contract handling, agreement processing, and vendor communications.
- Provide training to the operations team on best practices for stakeholder communication and relationship management.
Logistical Planning and Support:
- Assist with coordinating local logistics, such as arranging food vendors and ice baths, to meet the needs of athletes and teams.
- Provide on-the-ground support during events, addressing any logistical challenges that arise.
- Utilize project management software to create detailed timelines and checklists for sports event logistics, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
- Establish a rapid response team to handle last-minute logistical issues, ensuring they are resolved quickly and efficiently.
- Engage with local authorities and service providers to ensure all event logistics comply with local regulations and standards.
Administrative and Clerical Assistance:
- Perform administrative tasks such as record-keeping, inventory tracking, and documentation to support the operations team.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Introduce automated systems for routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling and data entry, to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Develop a standardized format for reports and presentations that reflects the organization's branding and professional standards.
- Implement a knowledge management system to preserve institutional memory and ensure continuity in logistical planning and execution.
Event and Team Support:
- Contribute to the organization and flow planning of events, ensuring a smooth experience for consumers, players, and VIP guests.
- Assist with team engagement activities, such as dinners and motivational events, to foster team spirit and unity.
- Design a seamless event flow that enhances the experience for all attendees, including clear signage, accessible facilities, and well-trained staff.
- Collaborate with the team management to organize engagement activities that align with the team's values and objectives, contributing to a positive team culture.
- Establish a feedback loop with athletes, teams, and VIP guests, post-event to gather insights for continuous improvement in event and team support services.

Qualifications
Educational Qualification:

Work Experience:
At least 5-6 years of experience in a support role within sports operations or event management. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Industry:
Experience in the sports industry or a related field, with a focus on operational support and logistics management or having military/sports background.
