Job Purpose: This role is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the performance of power plant operations through detailed analysis, site evaluations, and stakeholder engagement. This role ensures that performance metrics are met, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented.

Lead - Performance Management

Daily Reporting and Analysis:

Review daily reports generated by the Energy Network Operations Center (ENOC) and site-specific reports.

Highlight deviations and discrepancies to the Head of Operations and Performance Management, collaborating to analyze and establish corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).

Analyze monthly Operations and Maintenance (O&M) reports, identifying deviations and providing insights for improvement.

Performance Evaluations:

Conduct site visits before and after Annual Overhaul (AOH) and Capital Overhaul (COH) performance tests.

Contribute to the testing process and prepare comprehensive performance reports.

Identify gaps and necessary corrective actions before performance tests.

Certify the actions taken post-AOH and COH to address identified gaps and ensure optimal performance.

Compile and review performance data, ensuring accuracy and clarity in documentation.

Evaluate and review performance guarantee (PG) tests for new stations, ensuring adherence to contract clauses and procedures.

Technical Projects and Biomass Operations:

Support technical projects, particularly in data collection and analysis, such as ammonia testing.

Monitor and contribute to biomass and flexible operations, collecting data and feedback from site teams for monthly and daily reports.

Engage in the preparation and implementation of flexible operational changes, ensuring compliance with government mandates.

Site Visits and Evaluations:

Conduct regular site visits every 2-3 months to oversee and evaluate plant operations and performance.

Provide detailed evaluations and feedback to improve plant performance and operational efficiency.

Project Evaluations and KPI Development:

Prepare the first draft of project evaluations, developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performing necessary calculations.

Ensure KPIs are aligned with organizational goals and track performance against these metrics.

Analyze and review technical documents to establish and validate performance metrics.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A):

Conduct technical due diligence for performance management-related aspects in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities.

Review equipment designs, site operations, and provide red flags and cost implications.

Assess ongoing disputes, equipment issues, and contracting terms.

Provide comprehensive due dilliegence report and cost estimates to the Business Development (BD) team.

Educational Qualification:

B.E. / B. Tech (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Control)

Work Experience (Range of years):

Minimum of 20 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in performance-related roles.

Preferred Industry:

Background in the power sector with extensive experience in plant performance management.
