Deputy Manager -Credit Control
Responsibilities
•
Direct end-to-end credit control operations, including risk assessment, credit approval, monitoring, and collections.
•
Establish and maintain governance frameworks for credit control, ensuring strict compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
•
Implement robust risk management practices to identify, evaluate, and mitigate credit-related risks across business units.
•
Ensure adherence to credit policies and procedures, driving process discipline and operational excellence.
•
Manage stakeholder engagement, conducting periodic reviews and facilitating communication to support credit control objectives.
•
Develop and oversee bad debt management strategies, including recovery governance and timely resolution of non-performing accounts.
•
Design and deliver MIS, dashboards, and governance reporting for credit operations, enabling data-driven decision-making.
•
Lead process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in credit control.
•
Champion automation readiness, promoting adoption of digital solutions to streamline credit processes.
Required Skills & Competencies:
•
Strong financial acumen with expertise in credit control, governance, and risk management.
•
Proven experience in policy adherence, process improvement, and automation within finance operations.
•
Advanced skills in MIS, dashboard creation, and governance reporting.
•
Effective stakeholder and change management abilities.
•
Strategic and operational planning skills for process standardization and continuous improvement.
•
Experience in bad debt management and recovery governance.
•
Cross-functional collaboration and leadership in finance environments.
Qualifications
•
B.Com or BBA; MBA in Finance preferred.
•
15+ years of relevant experience in credit control, governance, risk management, and process improvement roles.
•
Demonstrated track record in implementing automation and data-driven enhancements in credit operations.
