Job Purpose:

Lead the strategic development of highway and structure designs, ensuring adherence to standards, optimizing project outcomes, and preparing cost-effective solutions. Direct project management and client coordination efforts, integrating innovative technologies for efficient and compliant infrastructure solutions, maintaining high-quality standards in collaboration with stakeholders.

Highway Design:

• Oversee the preparation of detailed design and provide engineering inputs for highway projects at both construction and pre-bid stages.

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including IRC/IRS Code manuals.

• Monitor design activities, ensuring the quality and accuracy of highway design.

• Conduct independent studies or assignments related to highway design to optimize project outcomes.

 

Structure Design:

• Review and revise all structure designs for highway construction projects, ensuring they meet required standards.

• Supervise the revision of drawings for projects that have been let to contract.

• Check and validate structure designs to incorporate economy, safety measures, and environmental considerations.

• Ensure proper documentation management for all structural design documents.

 

Project Management and Client Coordination:

• Coordinate ongoing and pre-bid projects with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and client representatives.

• Interact with consultants and client representatives and ensure approval for designs.

• Supervise and guide the design team in the execution of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.

• Undertake independent studies or special assignments as required to support project management and client coordination.

 

Cost-Effective Business Delivery:

• Ensure the delivery of cost-effective design solutions that meet project requirements and client expectations.

• Optimize design processes to reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.

• Gather information on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to inform cost-effective design and business strategies.

• Implement innovative design solutions and state-of-the-art technology to enhance project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
