Electrical Technician

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Quality Control

• Perform functional testing of AC drives and elevator drive systems.
• Verify drive parameters, performance, and safety functions.
• Conduct load testing and simulation testing as per company standards.
• Maintain testing records and prepare test reports.
• Ensure all products meet quality and reliability requirements before dispatch.

Repair & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose faults in AC drives, VFDs, SMPS, power modules, and control boards.
• Repair defective drives at component and module levels.
• Identify issues related to IGBTs, rectifiers, capacitors, relays, and control circuits.
• Analyze error logs and fault codes to determine root causes.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and servicing activities.

Technical Support

• Assist service engineers in resolving customer technical issues.
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities when required.
• Provide feedback to design and production teams regarding recurring failures.
• Maintain a database of common faults and repair solutions.

Documentation

• Prepare repair reports and failure analysis reports.
• Maintain records of repaired units and spare parts consumption.
• Update testing procedures and service documentation as required.

Inventory & Tools Management

• Maintain testing equipment, tools, and repair workstations.
• Monitor inventory of electronic components and spare parts.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of electronic assemblies.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of AC Drives (VFDs) and motor control systems.
• Understanding of power electronics, IGBT modules, rectifiers, and SMPS circuits.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
• Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and testing instruments.
• Knowledge of three-phase motors and elevator control systems is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
