Fabrication Engineer

Qualification:

• B.E. Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Fabrication Technology / Mechanical Engineering.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Minimum experience in sheet metal and stainless steel (SS) fabrication industry.
• Sound knowledge of fabrication processes for tanks, vessels, and process equipment.
• Ability to supervise fabrication activities at all stages, from material preparation to final assembly and dispatch.
• Good understanding of stainless steel welding processes, welding standards, and quality requirements.
• Knowledge of fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
• Ability to prepare daily production reports, progress reports, and quality documentation.
• Experience in ERP systems is mandatory for production planning, material tracking, and reporting.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality control procedures.
• Ability to coordinate with production, quality, stores, and project teams to ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Strong leadership and manpower management skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards and implementation of safe working practices in the fabrication shop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise fabrication of SS tanks, vessels, and related equipment.
• Monitor welding, fabrication, assembly, and finishing activities.
• Ensure fabrication is carried out as per approved drawings and quality standards.
• Maintain production schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Prepare and submit daily progress and production reports.
• Coordinate inspections and quality checks at various stages of manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and company procedures.
• Monitor material utilization and minimize wastage.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in fabrication and production processes.
