Job Description
A field sales executive for an app launch focuses on driving app downloads and user engagement through in-person, face-to-face interactions with potential clients or users in a designated territory. They are responsible for promoting the new app, demonstrating its features, and, in some cases, guiding users through the initial installation and registration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Active Prospecting & On-Field Promotion: Approaching potential users through door-to-door, in-person meetings, or, in some cases, setting up canopy activations in residential or commercial areas to drive downloads.
- App Demonstration & Education: Explaining the app’s value proposition, features, and benefits directly to users to encourage adoption.
- Relationship Building & Customer Support: Cultivating relationships with clients, gathering feedback, and providing on-the-spot troubleshooting or support to ensure a positive user experience.
- Territory Management: Planning daily, weekly, and monthly routes to maximize the number of customer interactions.
- Performance Reporting: Submitting daily/weekly sales reports, including download numbers, user feedback, and market insights, to management.
- Lead Generation & Conversion: Identifying potential, high-value users or partners (if the app is B2B) and converting them into active, long-term users
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to engage with strangers, explain complex ideas simply, and build rapport.
- Sales & Negotiation Abilities: Persuasion skills to convert prospects, along with a, results-driven mindset to meet or exceed download targets.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with smartphone technology, app ecosystems (iOS/Android), and CRM software for reporting.
- Self-Motivation & Resilience: Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and handle rejection.
- Education & Experience: A high school diploma is usually required, with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field often preferred. Experience in direct, field-based sales is generally expected.
