Financial Analyst

Job Title: Investment Analyst – Category II AIF (Pre-IPO / Private Equity / Private Debt)

Location: Ahmedabad

Experience Required: 1–2 Years

Qualification: BBA (Finance) / Equivalent (Finance-focused degree preferred)

About the Fund

We are a SEBI-registered Category II AIF focused on Pre-IPO, Private Equity, and Structured Private Debt investments.

The fund leverages merchant banking deal flow to invest in companies 8–12 months prior to IPO, capturing valuation expansion opportunities along with structured downside protection.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly driven Investment Analyst to support deal sourcing, due diligence, valuation, structuring, and portfolio monitoring.

This role offers direct exposure to:

• Pre-IPO transactions

• Private equity investments

• Structured private debt transactions

• Capital markets and IPO ecosystem

Key Responsibilities

1. Deal Analysis & Research

• Analyse potential Pre-IPO, private equity, and private debt opportunities

• Conduct industry and company research

• Assist in screening deals based on financial and strategic fit

2. Financial Analysis

• Work on financial models (basic DCF, multiples, yield analysis)

• Perform ratio analysis and financial normalization

• Support valuation of target companies and credit assessment

3. Due Diligence Support

• Assist in financial, commercial, and basic legal diligence

• Track company data rooms and documentation

• Identify key risks, red flags, and covenant considerations

4. Investment Committee Support

• Prepare investment memos and presentations

• Assist senior team in deal structuring discussions

• Maintain deal tracking and pipeline reports

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of finance basics (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

• Basic knowledge of equity markets, IPOs, and valuation concepts

• Understanding of debt structures / lending concepts (basic level acceptable)

• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

• Good analytical and problem-solving ability

• Strong communication skills

Preferred Skills 

• Interest in investment banking / private equity / private credit

• Exposure to financial modelling

• Familiarity with valuation metrics (PE, EV/EBITDA)

• Basic understanding of instruments such as CCD, CCPS, NCD
