Location In-charge - Fuel Farm
Responsibilities
Fuel Farm Operations Management:
Manage daily jet fuel and In-To-Plane operations, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with zero tolerance for deviations.
Monitor operations to ensure compliance with all location-specific SOPs, aiming for zero customer service complaints.
Review quality control documentation and operational logs regularly to maintain service integrity.
Manage fuel receipt, storage, and dispensing processes to ensure continuous supply for flights.
Ensure accurate tracking of fuel inventory, stock levels, and quality control in coordination with airlines and ground handlers.
Statutory and Regulatory Compliance:
Assume responsibility as the Factory Manager as per the Factory Act, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Ensure all requirements of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) are met, including the receipt, storage, and delivery of fuel according to specified standards.
Maintain compliance with statutory obligations, such as PESO (Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization), Pollution Control norms, Factory Act, and labor regulations.
Manage timely renewal of licenses and permits in coordination with the relevant authorities.
Lead audits and inspections conducted by statutory bodies, suppliers, customers, or airlines, and implement corrective and preventive actions for any identified non-compliances.
Budget Control and Financial Management:
Prepare and submit OPEX budgets for the fuel farm at the airport, aligning them with operational objectives and growth forecasts.
Track and control expenditures, ensuring budget adherence and cost efficiency.
Stakeholder Management:
Coordinate daily with suppliers to maintain adequate product levels and ensure compliance with operational norms.
Liaise with the airport operator and airlines for flight schedules, fueling requirements, and slot management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers, ensuring all contracts are reviewed and renewed promptly.
Resolve operational issues related to contractors and suppliers, ensuring smooth service delivery.
Resource Allocation and Infrastructure Maintenance:
Manage optimal use of storage facilities, hydrant systems, pumps, and equipment and ensure adequate trained manpower to meet current operational needs and future growth demands.
Coordinate scheduled maintenance and inspections to prevent downtime.
Ensure that an Asset Integrity Management System (AIMS) is in place for static and mobile assets and drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
Collaborate with the engineering team for repairs, upgrades, and infrastructure expansion plans.
Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) Management:
Take the lead during operational incidents, including equipment failures, fuel spills, or emergencies.
Coordinate with emergency services and airport authorities for prompt resolution of incidents.Ensure that all HSSE-related SOPs are documented, communicated, and implemented effectively.
Drive compliance with safety standards, including those from OISD (Oil Industry Safety Directorate) and PESO, ensuring 100% alignment with statutory requirements.
Team Management and Development:
Lead and supervise a team of operators and technicians, ensuring smooth shift operations.
Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to ensure team competency in safety protocols and operational procedures.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify skill development programs for continuous learning.

Qualifications
Education Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field.
Work Experience:
8+ years of experience in aviation fuel farm operations or oil industry, with at least 4-6 years in a supervisory role.
Experience of independently handling a Jet Fuel facility is desirable.
