Network Administrator

Network & connectivity

• Own the office network end to end: LAN, Wi-Fi, managed switches and structured cabling coordination.
• Maintain the IP addressing scheme, DHCP reservations and the static-IP register.
• Administer the firewall — rules, port policies and secure VPN remote access for management and travelling staff.
• Manage ISP relationships, link monitoring and failover.

Servers & business applications

• Administer on-premise Linux and Windows servers: patching, monitoring, capacity and uptime.
• Operate Docker-based application servers, including a PostgreSQL-backed ERP — container health, logs, disk and resource management, controlled restarts and updates.
• Administer the multi-user Tally environment, including the licence server and data integrity.
• Administer Google Workspace: user lifecycle, mail routing and security policies.

Backup & disaster recovery

• Design and run daily backup schedules for the ERP database, Tally data and shared files, with an offsite copy.
• Conduct periodic restore tests and maintain documented, rehearsed recovery procedures.
• Own recovery-point and recovery-time targets agreed with management.

IT security

• Endpoint protection, OS hardening and update discipline across all machines.
• Named administrator accounts, access control and password-vault hygiene; no shared credentials.
• Email security and basic user awareness on phishing.

Support escalation & team

• Act as the L2 escalation point above the IT Support Engineer (L1), resolving complex desktop, Outlook/email and connectivity issues.
• Guide, task and develop the L1 engineer.

Vendors, assets & documentation

• Coordinate AMC partners, hardware procurement, and printer/CCTV/biometric vendors.
• Maintain the IT asset register, network diagram, IP register and standard operating procedures — documentation is a core deliverable of this role, not an afterthought.
