Quality Inspector

Key Responsibilities

🔍 Inspection & Measurement

• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, tolerances, GD&T basics.
• Use measuring instruments:
• Vernier caliper
• Micrometer
• Height gauge
• Bore gauge
• Dial indicator
• Check dimensions, surface finish, threads, chamfers, and visual defects.

📋 Documentation

• Maintain inspection records, measurement sheets, and reports.
• Fill first article inspection (FAI) and final inspection reports.
• Tag OK / Rejected parts clearly.
• Support ISO documentation if required (ISO 9001 / IMS).
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of inspected parts.

🤝 Coordination

• Coordinate with production, machining operators, and dispatch team.
• Support customer inspections and audits when required.
• Ensure parts meet customer quality expectations before dispatch.

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Strong understanding of machining processes (CNC turning/milling).
• Knowledge of measurement tools and calibration basics.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately.
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, inspection formats).
• Attention to detail and discipline in reporting.
