Job Description
About the RoleTechsol Engineers is looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales & Marketing Engineer to drive business growth through customer acquisition, relationship management, technical sales, and after-sales support. The ideal candidate should possess strong engineering fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer engagement and field-based sales activities.
- Educational QualificationBE / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Instrumentation Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Experience Required2 to 4 years of experience in Industrial Sales, Technical Sales, Marketing, Application Engineering, or Customer Support.
- Experience in Engineering Products, Industrial Equipment, Instrumentation, Automation, Process Industries, or Manufacturing sectors will be preferred.
- Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentPromote and market the company's engineering products and solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads within assigned territories.
- Conduct customer visits, technical discussions, and product presentations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand customer requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and business objectives.
- Customer Support & Relationship ManagementProvide technical support and guidance to customers.
- Conduct product demonstrations and user training programs.
- Address customer queries and coordinate with internal teams for timely resolution.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Commercial & Collection ActivitiesPrepare quotations, proposals, and techno-commercial offers.
- Follow up on customer inquiries and purchase orders.
- Coordinate order execution with internal departments.
- Monitor outstanding payments and support collection activities.
- Maintain records of customer interactions and commercial transactions.
- Documentation & ReportingPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Update CRM/ERP systems with customer and sales information.
- Maintain visit reports, opportunity trackers, and sales forecasts.
- Support management with market intelligence and competitor analysis.
- Product Service CoordinationCoordinate with service and technical teams for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
- Assist customers in resolving product-related issues.
- Support after-sales service activities as required.
- Technical Skills & RequirementsMandatoryStrong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of basic engineering principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Valid two-wheeler driving license.
- Ownership of a two-wheeler for customer visits.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- PreferredExposure to ERP systems.
- Understanding of P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).
- Experience in Industrial Automation, Process Instrumentation, Pumps, Valves, Flow Measurement, Energy Management, or Engineering Solutions.
