Sales Executive Role


Summary

The Sales Executive will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and driving sales growth in domestic and international markets. The role requires proactive outreach, effective follow-ups, and strong coordination with internal teams to ensure timely order execution and customer satisfaction.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and approach potential customers through calls, emails, LinkedIn, trade portals, and referrals.
  • Generate qualified leads and convert them into business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
  • Prepare and share quotations, product information, and commercial proposals.
  • Negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines.
  • Follow up on inquiries, quotations, samples, and pending orders.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, quality, and accounts teams for smooth order execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, and sales activities in CRM/Excel.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
  • Represent the company professionally during meetings, exhibitions, and virtual discussions.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and business development KPIs.
  • Required SkillsStrong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-driven with a proactive sales mindset.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and CRM tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple customers and priorities effectively.
  • Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in FMCG, food ingredients, agro commodities, or exports.
  • Experience in handling domestic and/or international customers is preferred.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Qualified leads generated.
  • Customer meetings and follow-ups completed.
  • New customers acquired.
