Job Description: Sales & Marketing Executive – Textile/Fabric Sales
Department: Sales & Marketing
Job Type: Full-time, Office-based
Location: Office-based role, no field sales required at present
About the RoleWe are looking for a smart, energetic, and customer-focused Sales & Marketing Executive to join our growing textile and fabric business.
This is an office-based sales role where the company will provide most of the leads. Your main responsibility will be to follow up with potential customers, understand their fabric requirements, share product details, send fabric photos/specifications/pricing, coordinate samples or yardage, and move the customer toward order confirmation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talking to customers, building relationships, learning about fabrics, and converting inquiries into business.
- Key ResponsibilitiesLead Handling & Customer Follow-upCall, WhatsApp, and follow up with leads provided by the company.
- Understand customer requirements such as fabric type, GSM, width, color, quantity, usage, delivery location, and target price.
- Maintain regular communication with customers until the inquiry is closed, converted, or rejected.
- Update lead status, follow-up dates, customer requirements, and conversation notes in the company system/CRM.
- Product Presentation & Quotation SupportShare fabric photos, videos, specifications, price details, MOQ, payment terms, and delivery timelines with customers.
- Explain fabric features clearly to customers in a professional and convincing way.
- Coordinate internally to get updated prices, stock availability, sample availability, and other product details.
- Help customers shortlist suitable fabrics based on their requirement.
- Sample & Yardage CoordinationArrange fabric samples or paid yardage as per customer requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams for sample cutting, packing, courier, and dispatch details.
- Follow up after sample delivery to get customer feedback and approval.
- Push approved samples toward final order discussion.
- Order Conversion SupportOnce the customer approves fabric, quantity, price, and terms, coordinate with the accounting team for PI creation.
- Ensure all order details are clear before PI is raised.
- Follow up with customers for payment after PI is shared.
- Coordinate with warehouse/factory/accounting team after payment for smooth dispatch.
- Keep the customer informed about dispatch status and delivery updates.
- Sales & Relationship BuildingBuild strong long-term relationships with garment manufacturers, exporters, buying houses, wholesalers, traders, and other fabric buyers.
- Identify serious buyers and prioritize high-potential leads.
- Maintain a professional and helpful communication style.
- Work toward monthly sales targets, lead conversion targets, and follow-up discipline.
- Required SkillsGood communication skills in Hindi and basic/professional English.
- Comfortable with phone calls, WhatsApp, photos, product details, and customer follow-up.
- Basic computer knowledge, including Excel/Google Sheets/CRM usage.
- Ability to understand and explain product specifications.
- Good follow-up discipline and customer handling ability.
- Positive attitude, patience, and willingness to learn.
- Preferred ExperienceExperience in textile, fabric, garment, apparel, wholesale, B2B sales, or trading business will be preferred.
- Freshers with good communication skills and interest in sales may also apply.
- Experience in inside sales, telecalling, WhatsApp sales, CRM follow-up, or B2B lead handling will be an advantage.
