Site Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Blueprint Interpretation: Translating architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings into physical layouts on the ground.

• Daily Supervision: Monitoring the day-to-day construction activities of contractors, sub-contractors, and laborers to ensure structural accuracy.

• Setting Out: Setting out the grid lines, levels, and reference points on the site to guide excavation, foundation work, and structural framing.

2. Quality Control & Testing

• Material Inspection: Inspecting incoming raw materials (steel reinforcement bars, concrete mixes, bricks, sand) to confirm they match project standards.

• Field Testing: Performing or supervising essential field tests, such as concrete slump tests, cube casting for compressive strength, and soil compaction tests.

• Checklist Verification: Verifying reinforcement and formwork checklists before authorizing concrete pours (casting slabs, columns, and beams).

3. Progress Tracking & Reporting

• Daily Progress Reports (DPR): Documenting daily labor attendance, material consumption, and task completions, then logging them into the company's project management system.

• Schedule Management: Ensuring targets align with the master construction timeline and reporting bottlenecks or delays to the Project Manager.

4. Safety & Compliance

• Safety Implementation: Enforcing site safety protocols, including ensuring labor wears personal protective equipment (PPE) like hard hats, safety harnesses, and boots.

• Regulatory Alignment: Ensuring that building construction adheres strictly to local building codes, environmental regulations, and municipal authority layouts.

Technical Proficiencies:

o Ability to read complex structural drawings and reinforcement detailed

schedules.

o Hands-on familiarity with surveying instruments like Total Stations and

Auto-levels.

o Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and project scheduling software (like MS

Project or Primavera).

• Core Competencies: Strong team leadership to manage large labor forces,

sharp problem-solving skills for handling real-time site clashes, and

excellent physical stamina to endure long hours outdoors.
