Team - Cost Intelligence & Value Creation
Cost Data Mining Studies:
Collect, clean, and analyze procurement-related cost data from internal ERP systems, supplier databases, market indices, and historical purchase records to identify pricing patterns, cost drivers, and seasonal fluctuations.
Leverage data mining tools and statistical techniques to uncover anomalies, forecast future cost trends, and generate actionable insights for category managers and sourcing teams.
Present findings through structured dashboards and visual reports to support strategic sourcing decisions, supplier negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives.
Cost Intelligence Databases:
Continuously gather market intelligence on pricing, cost drivers, input inflation, and supplier trends from reliable sources (databases, tenders, public reports, etc.).
Maintain a structured, category-wise database of external prices, commodity indices, and benchmark references.
Validate and update cost data to ensure relevance, accuracy, and usability in decision-making processes.
Competitive Price Analysis:
Monitor and analyze prices charged by competitors or industry peers for similar goods/services to establish a reference pricing framework.
Work with the strategy team to understand competitive dynamics in core procurement categories.
Prepare comparative assessments of internal pricing vs. rival pricing to inform negotiations and cost rationalization.
Benchmarking Reports and Insights Dashboards:
Generate monthly/quarterly reports summarizing benchmarking results, cost gaps, and emerging pricing trends.
Create dashboards to visualize both BU specific and organisation wide performance vs. benchmarks, highlighting risk areas and high-value opportunities.
Present insights to category leads and transformation teams to enable informed procurement decisions.
Post-Acquisition Cost Synergy Analysis:
Conduct cost structure comparisons between the acquired entity and the parent organization across key categories.
Highlight areas of potential rate alignment, supplier harmonization, and policy standardization.
Provide data support for synergy estimation models and integration reporting to leadership.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain.
Basic training in procurement or M&A-related processes is an advantage.
Work Experience:
7+ years of experience in procurement, vendor onboarding, or project coordination roles.
Exposure to integration projects, data collection, process mapping, and coordination with acquired entities is desirable.
