Could you be the full-time Troubleshooter Engineer in Sabarmati Depot, India we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your troubleshooting and testing expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of locomotives during various operational phases, such as scheduled maintenance, mainline attention, and overhauling. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Operation, ILS, Fleet & Warranty, EHS, and Industrial teams), ensure effective communication within the troubleshooting team, and contribute to continuous improvement in reliability.
You’ll specifically take care of troubleshooting locomotives and managing failure databases, but also ensure the validity and certification of relevant tools.
We’ll look to you for:
Ensuring effective troubleshooting on locomotives during various phases according to best practices
Maintaining and certifying relevant tools for operations
Populating and managing failure databases
Facilitating communication within the troubleshooting team
Contributing to continuous reliability improvement
Providing support in special cases and adhering to EHS rules

Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from a recognized university
Experience or understanding of troubleshooting in Electric Loco Sheds (5–7 years for B.Tech )
Knowledge of locomotive power circuits, pneumatic systems, and electrical schematics
Familiarity with uploading/downloading software and validating functions
A specialization in one sub-system of locomotives (e.g., traction, brake, TCMS) is desirable
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of special processes like torquing and crimping
- Knowledge of working in Customer depot
