Utility/RO/Boiler/HVAC Operator And Fitter

Key Responsibilities

1. System Operation and Monitoring

• Operate, monitor, and maintain utility systems including boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, air compressors, water systems, and electrical systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Perform routine system checks, respond to alarms, and carry out first-level troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Monitor critical parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, load, and energy consumption.

2. Preventive Maintenance

• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities as per defined schedules and SOPs.
• Perform routine inspection, lubrication, tightening, calibration support, and replacement of consumables.
• Maintain detailed maintenance records and highlight recurring issues or abnormalities.

3. Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, utility failures, and emergency situations.
• Follow established safety and escalation protocols to restore operations with minimal impact.
• Support mock drills and implementation of emergency response procedures.

4. Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure adherence to cGMP, GDP, EHS, and regulatory guidelines in all operational and maintenance activities.
• Participate in audits and inspections; support closure of observations and deviations.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure systems are audit-ready at all times.

5. Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain logbooks, checklists, and daily reports for system operation and maintenance activities.
• Record utility consumption, breakdown reports, and maintenance history.
• Provide inputs for performance analysis, energy optimization, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Educational Background

• Mandatory: ITI Certification in relevant trades (Electrician, Fitter, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent).
• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical) will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of utility systems such as boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical systems, or similar industrial equipment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated environments will be preferred.

Skills and Knowledge

• Working knowledge of utility equipment operations, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance (cGMP/EHS).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability.

Additional Skills

• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in shifts and handle site-based responsibilities.
• Team-oriented with a proactive approach to maintenance and operations.
