Job Brief

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Welder to join our team. You will cut, shape, and join metal components and structures using various specialized equipment. Your work will form the structural foundation for various projects, requiring high precision, technical knowledge, and strict adherence to safety regulations.

• Key Responsibilities



• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications to plan layout, measurements, and procedures.
• Material Preparation: Select, measure, cut (using plasma cutters, saws, or torches), grind, and clean metal stock and components prior to welding.
• Welding & Assembly: Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (such as MIG, TIG, Stick/SMAW, or FCAW) to join metals in flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead positions.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Inspect welded joints and structures for flaws, accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with project specifications.
• Repair & Maintenance: Repair worn or damaged metal parts and machinery by welding extra layers, filling gaps, and restructuring components.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot welding tools and machinery to ensure a safe and operational working environment.
• Safety Compliance: Strictly follow all workplace safety guidelines, fire prevention protocols, and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like helmets, shields, and gloves.
• Qualifications & RequirementsExperience: Proven professional experience as a Welder or successful completion of a relevant welding apprenticeship/certification program.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in specific welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-Core — specify required types).
• Ability to read blueprints and technical mechanical documents.
• Competency in using hand and power tools (grinders, calipers, squares, saws).
• Attributes:
• Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and a steady hand.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical Requirements:
• Physical stamina to stand, crouch, bend, and work in awkward positions for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift and move heavy metal pieces and equipment (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg).
• Preferred QualificationsCertification from a recognized body (e.g., AWS - American Welding Society, or local equivalent).
• Experience operating heavy machinery, overhead cranes, or forklifts.
