Role: Solar Consultant
Department: Sales
Reporting To: Regional Manager
Role
Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Solar Consultant / Field Sales Executive who will act as both a revenue owner and ecosystem builder. This role goes beyond traditional sales, requiring the individual to drive business growth by onboarding channel partners, generating revenue, and managing the customer journey from lead generation to project installation.
You will play a key role in building and strengthening the regional supply and demand network for solar solutions.
- Key Responsibilities1.
- Vendor & Channel Partner Onboarding Identify and onboard:
- Local solar vendors (EPC partners)
- Channel partners such as electricians, contractors, and dealers
- Develop and maintain a strong regional partner network.
- Train partners on:
- Company products and services
- PM Surya Ghar Yojana (PMSGY) subsidy process
- Company platform and operational procedures
- 2. Revenue Generation (Core Responsibility)Achieve monthly sales and revenue targets.
- Convert leads into successful sales through:
- Effective customer presentations
- Pricing discussions and negotiations
- Building customer trust and confidence
- Maintain a high lead-to-conversion ratio.
- 3. Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with:
- Vendors
- Channel partners
- Customers
- Drive partner engagement and retention.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders.
- 4. Lead Generation & Pipeline Development Generate leads through:
- Field marketing activities
- Partner referrals
- Local networking and business development initiatives
- Maintain a sales pipeline that is 2–3 times the monthly target.
- Ensure a continuous flow of qualified leads.
- 5. Site Visits & Customer Consultation Conduct site surveys and feasibility assessments.
- Educate customers on:
- Solar energy solutions
- Cost savings and return on investment
- Government subsidy schemes (PM Surya Ghar Yojana)
- Prepare and present customized proposals based on customer requirements.
- 6. Lead Conversion & Project Execution Manage the sales process from lead generation to project closure.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for:
- Installation scheduling
- Documentation and subsidy processing
- Ensure smooth project execution and timely revenue realization.
- Ideal Candidate Profile1–5 years of experience in:
- Field Sales
- B2B Sales
- Channel Sales
- Experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, Electrical, Construction, or Related Industries will be preferred.
- Strong local market knowledge and network.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and target-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales goals.
- Willingness to travel extensively for field activities and customer meetings.
- Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
- Preference will be given to candidates with technical backgrounds in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related fields.
