Job Description
Job Title: Account Executive – US & Canada Clients
Location: Nadiad, Gujarat
Working Hours: 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM (to align with North American clients)
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Account Executive to manage accounting and financial operations for our US and Canadian clients. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, hands-on experience with day-to-day bookkeeping, financial reporting, and the ability to coordinate with clients and internal teams. The candidate will also be expected to take ownership of projects and lead engagements independently.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets.
- Review financials for accuracy and highlight key insights to management.
- Assist in preparation of management reports and financial summaries.
2. Day-to-Day Accounting
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accounting systems.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of all transactions.
3. Bank & Account Reconciliations
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts periodically.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation.
4. Management Reporting
- Prepare periodic management reports with key operational and financial insights.
- Assist leadership with performance analysis and business metrics.
5. Inventory Management
- Monitor and reconcile inventory records.
- Track cost of goods sold, stock movements, and inventory valuation.
- Coordinate with operations teams for accurate inventory accounting.
6. Operations Support
- Oversee sales and purchase transaction management.
- Ensure correct recording of invoices, bills, and vendor/customer balances.
- Support operational workflows related to order processing and procurement.
7. Forecasting & Financial Planning
- Assist in preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
- Analyze trends and variances between forecast and actuals.
8. Cash Flow Management
- Track and monitor cash inflows and outflows.
- Prepare cash flow projections and highlight liquidity needs.
- Work with management to optimize working capital.
9. Project Leadership
- Take ownership of client accounts and accounting projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely deliverables.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 0-1 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably handling US/Canada clients.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or similar).
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset and project leadership capability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with inventory-based businesses.
- Familiarity with management reporting and financial analysis.
- Exposure to North American accounting practices.
