Qualification/ Personal Attributes
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- 6–10 years of experience in utility operations in manufacturing or process industries
- Strong knowledge of utility systems:
- Air compressors, chillers, cooling towers
- HVAC systems, boilers
- Water treatment plants (RO/ETP/STP)
- DG sets and power distribution systems
- Hands-on experience in shift operations, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
- Familiarity with energy management systems and statutory compliance requirements
- Good communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts
Job Description
- Responsible for smooth operation and maintenance of all utility equipment during the assigned shift
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of utilities (compressed air, chilled water, power, etc.) to production and other departments
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate for timely troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities
- Maintain operating parameters to ensure safe, reliable, and energy-efficient operations
- Supervise shift manpower, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards
- Maintain shift-wise logs, reports, and ensure effective shift handover
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in utility performance, reliability, and energy conservation
- Ensure compliance with ISO, EHS, and statutory norms related to utility operations
- Coordinate with maintenance, projects, and production teams for seamless plant operations
- Train and guide technicians and operators for skill enhancement and adherence to SOPs
