About the Role: We are seeking a visionary and experienced educational leader to take the helm as Principal of the Government Girls Polytechnic, Aligarh. With the institution’s core focus on Fashion Design, this role requires an academic pioneer who understands both the creative demands of the fashion industry and the rigor of higher education.

What You Will Do:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary direction to the polytechnic, aligning academic programs—particularly the flagship Fashion Design department—with current industry trends and government educational standards.
• Academic Excellence: Oversee curriculum delivery, faculty development, and student assessment, ensuring the highest standards of vocational and technical education.
• Operational Management: Manage the daily administrative, financial, and operational functions of the college, ensuring compliance with state and national educational boards.
• Industry Integration: Build strong partnerships with fashion houses, textile brands, and design agencies to facilitate student internships, guest lectures, and placement opportunities.
• Campus Culture: Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and inspiring campus environment that promotes student welfare, creativity, and holistic development.

What You Bring (Qualifications & Experience):

• Educational Background: A Master’s Degree, PGDM, or Ph.D. from a recognized university. A specialization in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Apparel Management, or a closely related field is highly desired.
• Leadership Experience: Proven background serving as a Principal, Vice-Principal, Head of Department (HOD), or in a senior academic leadership role within a polytechnic, college, or design institute.
• Educator Excellence: Deep understanding of academic pedagogy, vocational training, and curriculum development, specifically within the design and creative arts sectors.
• Skills: Exceptional administrative capabilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire both students and faculty.
