WE ARE HIRING | Fabrication Quality Engineer – PEB

SMODI INFRASTEEL PVT. LTD. is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Fabrication Quality Engineer to join our Quality Department. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in PEB / Structural Steel Fabrication, ensuring that every stage of production meets the highest quality standards.

📍 Location: Rohad Industrial Area, Bahadurgarh, Haryana (Delhi NCR)

Fabrication Quality Engineer – PEB

Experience Required

► 3–8 Years in PEB / Structural Steel Fabrication Industry

Key Responsibilities

✔ Inspection of raw materials as per approved specifications.

✔ Verify cutting, drilling, fit-up, assembly, welding, grinding, and finishing activities.

✔ Conduct dimensional inspection of fabricated members as per approved drawings.

✔ Ensure fabrication complies with GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and approved procedures.

✔ Monitor welding quality and ensure compliance with WPS and quality standards.

✔ Inspection of built-up sections, columns, rafters, crane beams, bracings, purlins, and accessories.

✔ Perform fit-up inspection before welding.

✔ Carry out final inspection before painting and dispatch.

✔ Ensure shot blasting and painting meet specified DFT and surface preparation requirements.

✔ Coordinate with Production, PPC, Dispatch, and Design teams for quality compliance.

✔ Maintain inspection reports, NCRs, CAPA, quality records, and documentation.

✔ Identify defects and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

✔ Ensure all fabricated material is approved before dispatch.

✔ Promote continuous quality improvement throughout the manufacturing process.

Technical Knowledge Required

✔ Structural Steel Fabrication

✔ PEB Manufacturing

✔ Fabrication Drawings & GA Drawings

✔ Welding Inspection

✔ Dimensional Inspection

✔ Measuring Instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Measuring Tape)

✔ DFT Measurement

✔ Surface Preparation & Painting Inspection

✔ Bolt Hole Inspection

✔ Material Traceability

✔ QA/QC Documentation

✔ IS Codes & Fabrication Standards

Desired Skills

► Strong knowledge of fabrication quality standards

Qualification

► Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Production Engineering, or equivalent.
