Job Description

A Sales and Marketing Manager oversees a company’s sales team, develops strategies to meet revenue targets, and ensures effective execution of sales plans.

  • Key Responsibilities Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor sales staff to enhance performance and professional growth. Assign territories, distribute leads, and provide guidance to achieve sales goals. 
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement sales plans, set short- and long-term sales targets, and monitor team performance. Collaborate with marketing to create campaigns and promotions that drive revenue. 
  • Performance Analysis: Track sales metrics, analyze data, and identify opportunities for improvement. Recommend product or service enhancements to increase customer satisfaction and sales potential. Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecast revenue, and optimize costs while maintaining quality. Work with finance to ensure accurate reporting and informed decision-making. 
  • Customer and Market Engagement: Maintain relationships with key clients, resolve customer issues, and stay informed on market trends and competitor activity. 
  • Operational Improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and recommend technology upgrades to enhance productivity. 
  • Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous. 
  • Experience: Typically 2–3 years in sales or sales management; industry-specific experience
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Ability to plan strategically, motivate teams, and collaborate across departments. 
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and relevant software for reporting and forecasting
